Educational background:
I earned my Ph.D. in evolutionary anthropology from Rutgers University and trained as a postdoctoral fellow in the Arizona State University Department of Psychology. I use both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and have experience in designing and running experimental studies (randomized controlled trials). In my master of public health program (MPH, University of Arizona, expected 2020), I attained skills in community-based evaluation and program planning.

Research interests:
I am interested in cultural adaptation, and my most recent work looks at norms for resource sharing under changing ecological and economic conditions. For the past two years, I have focused my efforts on understanding social support dynamics in rural communities of central Appalachia.
