01:070:344 Practicum in Ethnographic Field Methods - Study Abroad

3 credits - Fez Morocco Study Abroad

Course Description: Hands-on practice in ethnographic research methods while conducting original fieldwork in Fez Morocco. Topics include study of ethnographic writings, methods for data collection and analysis, background research, multisensory observation, kinship and network mapping, participant observation, interviews, and discourse analysis. Students conduct a collaborative research project with Moroccan students.
