Course Description: Contemporary world refugee crisis; migration into Europe; anxieties about the presence of the foreign; cultural and legal categories of friend, guest, neighbor and enemy; national and ethnic-racial identification; encounter, and transference and counter-transference, racism and discrimination; Islamophobia and anti-Semitism; the socio-psychology of xenophilia and xenophobia; projection and projective identification; main focus is Germany and France
