Joyce received a BA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and am currently in the Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson-Princeton MD/PhD program. Prior to Rutgers, Joyce started a mealworm farming project with communities in the western highlands of Guatemala while working at a primary care clinic. She then completed a fellowship in the NIH Academy health disparities program. Joyce is broadly interested in the circulation, forms, and networks of therapy throughout rural, indigenous communities in Guatemala.
