KOOBI FORA FIELD SCHOOL 01:070:397, 01:070:398 The Koobi Fora Field School, conducted in Kenya, offers students an opportunity to learn the basic principles and field methods of paleoanthropology at one of the world’s leading early hominid sites. The field school provides students with hands-on introductory training in all the disciplines within paleoanthropology: paleontology, archaeology, geology, taphonomy, and ecology. This pair of co-requisite courses also provides instruction on archaeological, geological, and paleontological field methods, including the theory and practices associated with taphonomy, actualistic archaeology and ethnoarchaeology. Offered only during the summer.
