At Rutgers University, a student is accepted into the Ph.D. program in Anthropology on the basis of an outstanding undergraduate record; strong GRE scores; the promise of making an outstanding contribution to the field; creativity and focus of the student's proposed dissertation research, and because her/his interests match well the expertise of one or more members of the Graduate Faculty in Anthropology.
